Saudi Crescent made history and climbed to the final of the Club World Cup after beating Brazilian side Flamingo by three goals to two Tuesday in the semi-final of the tournament in Morocco

Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal team made history and climbed to the final of the Club World Cup after beating Brazilian side Flamingo by three goals to two on Tuesday in the semi-finals of the tournament currently held in Morocco.

The match was held at the Tangier Stadium and dominated by the champions of the Asian Champions League since its inception, earning a penalty in the 4th minute that Salem Al Dusri managed to score before Flamingo, the champions of "Cuba Libertadores", levelled by Pedro Gleermi in the 20th minute.

At half-time, the match was dramatically transformed when Romanian meeting referee Istvan Kovacs awarded a penalty to the Saudi team and then dismissed Brazilian midfielder Gerson Santos, again hitting Salem Al Dossary for his second goal and for the crescent in the 45th minute.

The Brazilian team tried to equalize, but suffered from numerical shortages and increases in no-cover space in their defences, enabling Argentine midfielder Luciano Vito to score the third goal in the 70th minute.

In the 90 minute + 1 Pedro returned to score Wolfflamingo's second goal but was not enough to save the Brazilian team.

Al-Hilal will face Al Ahly and Real Madrid in the tournament's second semifinal on Wednesday night.
